Lebny Strained Yoghurt Balls
|
Lebny (after the word Leban which means yoghurt in Arabic) is made by straining goat milk yoghurt and can be used in the same way as Feta cheese. It's great simply enjoyed on toast or Nan bread especially when combined with a sprinkle of Palestinian Zaatar thyme mix or Sumac citrus berry and a drizzle of olive oil. It's equally nice tossed into salads or as an accompaniment to a meat dish. It's also delicious eaten with a sweet/sour syrup such pomegranate molasses, date molasses or honey. |
